Libations

We realize that when people visit the Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins area, a detail that consistently stands out is the thoughtful inclusion of libations-refreshing drinks that welcome travelers, help them unwind, and also gives them the opportunity to get a little taste of the local culture.

The word libation, specifically means pouring out a drink.  While it usually refers to wine or other alcoholic beverages, it does not necessarily have to include alcohol. Libations can also consist of coffees, teas, sparkling waters, juices, etc.  They are typically offered as a sign of hospitality or celebration and we believe that the perfect drink sets the perfect tone. So, whatever your beverage choice may be, Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins has discovered that everything tastes a little bit better when we’re enjoying it at the lodge! While we encourage you to enjoy your favorite beverages during your visit with us, we also want to ensure a safe and respectful environment for other guests and neighbors. Remember, your vacation is a marathon, not a sprint. We ask that if you are enjoying alcoholic beverages, please do so in moderation, avoid excessive noise, especially after 11:00 PM, drink a lot of water, and most importantly, please don’t attempt to drive afterwards.  As if the dangers of potentially having an accident weren’t enough, not being able to find your way back to the lodge after an evening of imbibing, is definitely a  reality. Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins does not provide any beverages but we do provide wine glasses, beer glasses and cocktail glasses.  There is also a wine fridge in the coffee/beverage bar, ice in the fridge and a portable, countertop ice maker. Just plug it in, put a little water in it and viola, six minutes later that sucker is spitting out ice.

Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins Secret Recipe – 

When we are enjoying the lodge, our “go to” is usually some form of Margarita or Pina Colada (The Key Lime Colada is the bomb!!) This was our own creation and it is a big hit with frozen drink aficionados.  We start by adding 1 large can of frozen limeade to the Ninja blender (provided at the lodge), then add 2 shots of Blue Chair coconut rum, 2 shots of Blue Chair key lime rum, 2 shots of coconut cream, 2 shots of orange juice, 2 shots of pineapple juice and a splash of lime juice.  Top it off with ice and blend until creamy.  Line the rim of a cocktail glass with crushed graham cracker crumbs and enjoy! I didn’t say it was easy, but it’s definitely worth the effort. I’m not saying that it will absolutely be your favorite cocktail ever, but I do think that there is a pretty good chance that it will be.  Okay, if you like frozen, fruity drinks, it will be your favorite.

 If you decide to enjoy your libations somewhere other than the lodge, there are many different locations in the area that would love to take care of you (if you let someone else drive). There is a distillery, breweries, wineries and liquor stores near Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins. And, of course, most of the dining establishments have a full drink list.  Many of these also include live entertainment at different times throughout the week. A couple of our favorites are Grateful Head Pizza and The Buffalo Grill.  Both have a wide selection of wine, beer and cocktails of which many are locally produced. The Hochatown Saloon also has a large selection of food and drinks and the atmosphere is something that everyone in your group will enjoy!
