Welcome to Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins in Hochatown, Oklahoma. Yeah, I know you want to stay in Hochatown, that’s where all the activity is! Well, believe it or not, they are kind of one in the same. Hochatown is a small community about 9 miles north of Broken Bow, but until recently, it was nonincorporated. A vote was taken, with a little help from the state supreme court and it was decided that Hochatown would become incorporated. It still has a Broken Bow zip code and therefore people refer to Hochatown as Broken Bow quite frequently. In 2022, we decided to purchase a small piece of this paradise and we bought a place that was called Active Lodge!

What? Active Lodge? That’s terrible! What kind of action are we talking about? We knew that the name was the first thing that had to go. We knew that we wanted to add a swimming pool, we knew that people would be enjoying their favorite beverage while sitting by the pool, or firepit, or hot tub, or bunk room, or while soaking in the hammered copper tub in the primary bath. We also knew that many people would be visiting to enjoy the most beautiful, pristine, lake in the state. So, let’s see, what do all of these things have in common? You got it, they all involve liquid, and they’re all therapeutic. There you go, the obvious choice was Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins. Since that time, we have been offering this amazing property as a short term rental for guests to enjoy when they are in Hochatown. My wife and I have been coming to Hochatown for approximately ten years and I had always been very intrigued about owning a cabin (lodge). My wife, not so much! I was always secretly searching online for a special property that might swing her to my side of the fence. When I stumbled upon this property, I thought that I might have a winner. When I convinced her that maybe we should just take a look, she was skeptical but willing. When we first saw it, we were immediately hooked. In our opinion, there could not be a more perfect place for us. We agreed at that point that we had to try to make it happen. We always talked about the fact that if we ever had a cabin, we would try to think of every detail to make it as perfect and enjoyable for the guests as possible. That is exactly what we’ve done. We have spent countless hours just trying to make all of our guests feel as welcome and comfortable as they would in their own home. We started by hiring an interior designer and incorporated her vision and ideas and I think you will agree that it shows.

We decided to get into the Broken Bow Cabin business because we had been coming down here for years renting cabins with our family. It was our favorite vacation spot. Len had been coming down here since he was a kid. We have been very blessed in our business and we were in a position to actually purchase a cabin here so we wouldn’t have to continue to rent. Plus, we wanted to have a place where our kids and grandkids could have some of the same wonderful experiences that we have had.

We love the location and the privacy. It’s very secluded but only about five minutes from all the attractions in Hochatown. Some of our favorite spots to go are Buffalo Grill (for Kathy) and The Grateful Head Pizza place (for Len). Kathy suggests the Pulled Pork Street Tacos and the Cowboy Burger at Buffalo Grill. Len loves the Dire Wolf with Pineapple Pizza and strongly recommends it to all the pizza lovers.

We have also been very happy with the quality of the cabin. Len has been in construction all his life and he recognizes all the crown molding, the high end fixtures, the lighting with the smart system, the furniture is very high quality for a short term rental. It has a copper tub in the Primary Bath and a copper sink in the kitchen. The closets are huge and a rare find in cabins in Broken Bow. Another thing we really appreciate, if you look closely, you’ll see that all the nail holes are filled and the circular cut flooring is very high quality.

Have you seen all the pine trees??? Wow! This adds so much peace and tranquility to the area. We take walks in the neighborhood all the time and sitting out on the deck or by the pool and fire pit is just so relaxing. You’ll love it as well.

Since 2022 when we acquired the lodge, we’ve been able to get out on the lake (very deep!). It’s great for fishing! And Len has been fly fishing many times on the river and highly recommends it if you are an angler.
One of the big things at Liquid Therapy Lodge Broken Bow Cabins as well is the kitchen and pantry are completely stocked with all the tools you need for a large family gathering. And everything is in great condition for our guests. You’ll also appreciate the full laundry room with an added refrigerator to store overflow items.

We’ve tried to think of all the extras that our guests will need while visiting and we hope we have provided for you. Many of our guests have commented about how much they appreciate that we have thought of so much.
Let’s talk about getting there! The most beautiful way to get to Broken Bow is to take HWY 59 from Sallisaw and go through Poteau. This will give you about 90 minutes of driving through the Kiamichi Mountains in the Quachita National Forest. Be sure to drive to the tallest Hill in the nation in Poteau! You’ll love this drive and you’ll forget that you’re in Oklahoma. If you’re really adventurous, be sure to check out the Talamina Drive!
